It seems our banking sector is gradually improving most especially during this period when naira is appreciating. Some banks are now lifting the limitations placed on our own Naira master card which means you can now use your local master card to shop online without the need for a barter virtual master card or payoneer card.
Recall, Ecobank was the first to lift the limitation from $300 to $3000 per month and Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) also followed the suite by lifting ban on their international transaction and now UBA have joined them by lifting the limitation placed on their naira debit card from $100 to $1000 per month.
Meanwhile, the reason why UBA decided to make it limited to August 31st 2017 is still unclear to me but I’m very sure that they will reverse it. So let’s keep hope.
